  What a joy this film was to work on.  The production designer and the set decorator are amazingly talented and totally professional.  I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the same basic crew again on "LIFE AS A HOUSE"...and again with the decorator and lead man on "THE ITALIAN JOB"  This film was an interesting exercise in research and replication of totally realistic and accurate historical settings.  We hadn't been so steeped in history since "AMISTAD"
